Krakusy Polish Folk Dance Association
ABOUT US
Welcome to Krakusy Polish Folk Dance Association — where tradition, community, and youthful energy come together in
celebration of heritage and culture.
For 25 years, Krakusy has been a place where children, youth, and families gather to learn, grow, and connect. What began as a passion for preserving Polish folk traditions has blossomed into a vibrant, intergenerational community that continues to honour the past while
inspiring the future.
At Krakusy, we believe in the power of dance to build more than just skill: we build community. Our roots lie in sharing Polish folk traditions, but our mission is far wider — nurturing belonging, creativity, discipline, and lifelong friendships across Alberta.
Each generation of Krakusy dancers brings heart and dedication — learning traditional steps, working hard, supporting one another, and growing together. Through dance, travel, leadership opportunities, performances, and workshops, we give our members a space to
dream, belong, and thrive.
But our commitment doesn’t stop at the stage. Krakusy is proudly woven into the fabric of the community. We share our culture through public performances, connect with audiences of all ages, and bring joy to local events. Our dancers regularly give back by visiting seniors, supporting local community groups, and participating in cultural and charitable initiatives. We believe that celebrating heritage also means uplifting the people around us — building bridges, fostering understanding, and contributing to a stronger, more connected community.
At Krakusy, you’re not just joining a dance group — you’re becoming part of a warm, vibrant community that honours the past, embraces the present, and dances toward the future.
Here’s to 25 years of culture, connection, and community — and many more to come.
